The Marketing and Sales Manageress of Blue Water Star Sailing was born in June 1961 in Hagen / Germany. After studying industrial design, she choose a different career and set up a small office for private health insurance and capital investment. She met her husband Gerd in 1992 and adopted his idea of sailing around the world enthusiastically. Being born in the mountains, sailing brought a complete new experience to her life and she struggled in the beginning to learn and understand the beauty of living on a boat crossing wide open seas, but by the years became addicted to the independency of such a lifestyle. Being asked what is the greatest gift of this kind of existence she answers: to meet yourself and to realize how strong you can be when it is needed.
