One day we did a Sunset Cruise with BLUE STAR SAILING, well what can I say, it was just absolutely fantastic!!!! From meeting Eva and Gerd right up till the end! We have never been made to feel more welcome before. The trip was great, and the food was amazing!!! We had Prawns and fresh fish and the best vegetables ever, I must get the recipe of Eva, it was delicious!!! Eva was so hospitable, as soon as the wine glass was nearly empty it was full again! She is such a lovely woman, and so interesting! I will never forget that trip, well worth it, I would recommend it to anyone!

On Sunday, August 12th, we chartered a sail boat with "Blue Water Star Sailing" for a cruise around the Langkawi Islands in Malaysia. Our yacht for the day was a very comfortable, luxurious catamaran,17metres long and 9metres wide. The skipper couple, Sjoerd and Lies, together with the crew Maggie took excellent care of us. We were 8 people from Italy, 6 adults and 2 children staying at the exclusive Datai Resort during our holiday in Langkawi. On the catamaran, we sailed around beautiful, deserted islands, all with white sand beaches. We anchored at a couple of nice places for a refreshing swim, and continued on seeing more lovely islands until we came to visit the "lake of the pregnant maiden", where you can have a fresh water swim. Near the lake we saw a lot of monkeys and lizards. The children really enjoyed watching them. We were very lucky with the weather, as it is the SW monsoon season. We had no rain at all, only a short, light drizzle. When we returned to the boat after visit to the lake we enjoyed a delicious lunch on board. Cold soft drinks, water, wine and beer were served all day when we wanted them. After coffee, cake and buscuits were served we relaxed on the huge foredeck and the trampolines to sunbathe and enjoy the return trip to the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club where we joined the boat. We would like to thank Sjoerd, Lies and Maggie for a wonderful day on their beautiful catamaran.

今回の旅は、私達にとって初めて一緒に過ごす海外バカンスでしたので、彼がサンセットクルーズを二人きりで楽しみたいからと、イーバのクルーズを選びました。　費用はグループツアーの２．５倍ほどかかりましたが、クルーズは期待以上に素晴らしいものでした。　　ランカウイの海は穏やかで、夕日はとても美しく、最高にロマンティックなクルーズでした。マレー料理を中心としたお料理はどれも美味しく、飲み物もふんだんに準備されていました。　夜遅くまで船に留まり、満天の星空も堪能して、すっかり気に入った為、二日後にワンデープライベートクルーズをチャーターしました。　キャプテン・ゲートに代わりほとんど私達がステアリングをしている途中、なんとイルカの家族に出会いました！！　あまりない事だそうですが、本当にラッキーでした。　「世界の穴」という異名を持つ入り江に停泊し、そこからディンギーに乗り代えて、魚の養殖場、こうもりのいる鍾乳洞、鷹の餌付け、マングローブの中を見て周りましたが、どれもとってもおもしろく、波しぶきを上げて走るディンギーはとってもスリリングでした。　　家族でも、カップルでも、グループでも楽しめると思いますが、何よりもハネームーナーにはお薦めです!!　こんな贅沢はそうできる事ではありませんが、一生忘れられない「涙が出るくらいロマンティックなクルーズ」を、二日もプレゼントしてくれた彼に感謝！！そして、写真を撮ったり自ら案内してくれイーバ、楽しいお話をたくさん聞かせてくれたゲート、美味しいお料理を作ってくれたクルーのシャンとヘレンにも感謝です！！　　本当にありがとう！　　ロス在住　　ジェリー＆ヨーコ

Thanks Eva and Gerd - We really had a most fantastic holiday with you!

Weather was on our side; we got lots of sunshine and enjoyed swimming in the ocean. Eva, you are a brilliant cook and you pampered us far beyond our expectations! Who would expect a four course dinner freshly made on a cruise and who would expect such a good wine included in that pricing?! Gerd, you where so right to talk us out of the idea to sail up to Thailand; Langkawi offers enough fantastic routes to spend a full holiday on a yacht. Actually we are thinking about coming and staying with you for a few days by the end of the year as we would love to experience the magic of being at anchor overnight. Don't forget to say thanks to Shan who took care of our baby boy Oscar with so much patience and love. You are a great team! See you again soon!

We came to Langkawi to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary at the Datai Hotel. When we asked Mr. Dean from Recreation, what special event would match the occasion he straightaway recommended to go on a sunset cruise on one of our yachts. Honestly, we first thought it was a bit expensive but at the end of the tour we thought it was too cheap! What a great yacht your boat is, indeed. The drinks, the service, and the dinner were absolutely superb! We never had Tiger Prawns before and –you were right – they are so much better than lobster. We loved your motto: what we don’t eat or drink ourselves we wouldn’t offer our guests. Indeed a five star experience. Last but not least to hear about your adventurous life sailing around the world made us really think we should plan something similar for our life after retirement in a few years. We will come back in December and we would love to sail a couple of days with you to see more of Langkawi’s stunning islands. Thank you so much! It was an unforgettable day!

Being locals perhaps we took our local tourist destination for granted...but Langkawi is not just another Tourist destination, in the past few years...for me it has become a place for temporary escape; a place for reflection - to rejuvenate and most of all ... a place to make firm friends with people all over the world who in their own way have discovered the magic of Langkawi. There is always something new to discover about Langkawi, and this time thanks to Eva and Martin 'Your Blue Ship'... you have provided us with memories of a few days to last a lifetime. As they say--Life is made of those little moments, those small hours, those twists and turns of fate...thank you for sharing them with us!

Hallo, liebe Freunde von Blue Water Star Sailing, wir wollen uns auf diesem Weg noch mal ganz herzlich bei Euch für den Tag auf Eurem Katamaran ISIS bedanken. Das Datai Resort hatte Euren Service als Exclusive Private Yacht Charterer in Langkawi empfohlen. Ohne jeden Zweifel war das der beste Tag während unserer 2 wöchigen Ferien in Langkawi. Lies und Sjoerd, das Skipperpaar und Chan haben uns aufmerksam verwöhnt. Das Abendessen mit den Riesengarnelen und dem guten Tropfen Weisswein an Bord in der Bucht vor dem Westin Hotel war schlicht nicht zu überbieten.

Das Segelrevier um die vielen kleinen Inseln von Langkawi ist wahrlich atemberaubend. Ohne Frage weltweit einzigartig. Wir konnten es kaum glauben, dass wir kaum eine andere Yacht gesehen haben. Durch den Segeltörn mit Euch haben wir Langkawi's Schönheit entdecken können und sind Euch sehr dankbar für den unvergesslichen Tag in der Andaman See. Für Eure Zukunft wünschen wir Euch das Allerbeste und hoffen, dass wir uns im nächsten Jahr wieder sehen!

Dear Eva and Gerd, we just came back to our hotel room at the Datai and thought we should write you an email straight away. Thank you soooo much for the unbelievable tour we had on your sailing yacht today. It was much beyond our expectation! To see Langkawi on board a boat is stunning! The many tropical, uninhabited islands are awesome – but the way you made us feel at home on your beautiful boat was the best we ever experienced! The small details like the chilled towels and flower chain were just heart warming. The food and the drinks had a five star level and we can only recommend to everybody that the day with you will definitely be the best people can do to enjoy their holiday in Langkawi. When ever you come to Sydney next time it will be our part to pamper you!

ISIS is the perfect boat for a family and Sjoerd and Lies are the right people to trust and relax. They know islands and anchorages where one can be as private and intimate as could be. The boat is a floating home and to be your guests is a privilege! Thank you so much for that lovely day.

By the way, the food was excellent! We all wanted to say thank you for providing us with an amazing experience while in Langkawi. All of you made our day sailing the Andaman Sea and touring the Mangroves an absolute delightful experience.

We never thought about chartering an exclusive private yacht for a tour during our short holiday here in Langkawi. We own a yacht ourselves in the south of France and enjoy being on the water during our holidays. To join a group on a professional commercial sailing trip however did not appeal to us. Fortunately the concierge at the Datai resort convinced us that a tour on one of your yachts is the best to do while staying in Langkawi and right he was. We saw the photos of your catamaran ISIS and decided to give it a try. Sjoerd and Lies, the Dutch skipper couple took care of us as if we were old friends or family. The couple sailed many years the oceans of this planet and was as warm, friendly and yet professional as one can expect. The catamaran is a very comfortable and spacious yacht, ideal to explore the coastline even with demanding and hyper-active kids. The skipper Sjoerd never lost patience with my son Mike who wanted to know everything about the boat, the ocean, the stars...
