Itinerary Map

The Langkawi archipelago with it's 99 tropical islands is a natural paradise many consider as unmatched anywhere else in Southeast Asia. To discover it from the seasid while cruising the Andaman Sea offers spectacular views of unique rock formations, lush green rainforest and fine lonely beaches.

There is an abundance of routes a yacht can take depending on your preferences. Since we offer only exclusive private yacht charter it's your choice where to go and where to stop for a swim or a beach exploration. Depending on whether you choose a day charter or a sunset cruise or even a few days holiday on a yacht we can help you with our knowledge of the area to find the right destination for that time. Please also have a look at our blog site to get more ideas about what kind of tour you want to do.

We like however to particularly recommend the following two destinations:

Dayang Bunting Lake/Lake of the Pregnant Maiden

This cruise takes you to a romantique anchorage between steep limestone cliffs mounted by green rainforest with some of the most spectacular views. Enjoy a swim in the sheltered waters or a dinghi ride to explore the area.

You will then be brought to the island where you will reach the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden after a short walk through the forest reserve. The Dayang Bunting Lake is the biggest fresh water Lake of Langkawi and definitely worth visiting.

The legend tells of a fairy princess married to an earthly prince whose first child died shortly after birth. Being utterly sad and depressed she buried the child in the clear fresh waters of the lake. Before returning to her celestial abode, she blessed the waters so that any childless maiden who bathed in the lake would conceive thereafter. On the way back a beautiful sunset may add another highlight to a memorable day.

This tour needs all together 8 hours.

Kilim River/Hole in the Wall

In former times Hole in the Wall was an often used pirate's hideaway with it's narrow entrance barely visible from the sea. After having passed a wide protected anchorage stretches into Kilim Nature Park which features a stunning mix of well-protected green mangrove forests, lonely white beaches and dramatic limestone rocks.

On the tour along the calm winding river you will observe the wonders of the park's ecosystem like the mangroves, the overhanging Bogak Trees, Brown Eagles, Tree Crabs, iguanas, otters and Macaques. Visit the bat cave, feed the eagles or the tame stingrays at the fish farm. On the way from or to Kuah there are a number of beautiful secluded anchorages with fine beaches.

This tour can be done in one day but is absolutely stunning for an overnight cruise as the scenery is really breathtaking. Parts of the movie "The King and I" with Judie Foster has been filmed in this area.

Sunset Cruise

A Sunset Cocktail or Dinner Cruise will lead you around some of the most beautiful islands of the Langkawi archipelago. Relax and enjoy a drink of your choice from the open bar while you admire the scenic rock formations and enchanting beaches bordered by lush green rainforest.

The boat will move to a spot from where you will be able to observe the most magnificent sunset before returning to the departure point.

Normally our sunset cruise takes 4 hours. The same tour can be done in the morning as well.

General Information

People often ask us whether it is advisable to do a tour with kids or if there is any danger of getting seasick. Kids are always welcome on our boats and we can generally say that we never had any kind of problems with them. No matter what age, they always enjoyed the cruising and even after 8 hours often didn't want to leave the boat.

As the Langkawi archipelago is very protected by the many islands scattered around during all the time we are cruising in this area the waters are very calm and friendly. The chances to get seasick are very, very small but if you are afraid of that we can help you with medicine or with an acupuncture belt for your wrists. Even during the rainy season we can recommend and manage our normal itinerary. All our boats are equipped for the high seas and we only operate with experienced skipper and crew. Keep in mind: To see Langkawi's stunning beauty you need a boat/yacht and we are the experts to ask. Enjoy your stay!
